Soft toy is it a potential hazard for your pet

Dog toys, online pet toys, toys for Dogs, rubber toy for Dogs, pet products India, pet shop India, Indian pet store Purchasing toys for your pet is just like buying them for your little ones. You have to be vigilant and alert all the time and watch for the smallest danger lurking in every toy for the safety and well-being of your pet.

Soft toys are like a security  to a pet in the same way as to a child All these toys seem harmless but even the best looking toy may pose a potential health hazard to your friendly pooch. As a pet owner you have to adhere to certain things to make sure that the toys are safe for your pet.
  • Small eyes and noses on the soft are the most dangerous for your pets as they are stuck onto the soft toys with glue. There is a very high chance that your pet may swallow or inhale it while trying to tear it off.  The chances of these plastics cutting the tummy of your pet cannot be ruled out. In case of such an emergency, a visit to a veterinarian cannot be ruled out.
  • While buying soft or chewy toys for your furry friend never over overlook the fact that it may be painted with paints containing high toxic levels of mercury, cadmium, cobalt and lead proving detrimental to your pet’s health. The best choice would be to buy toys painted with food grade dyes.
  • Never give such toys to pets which has sharp pointy objects like strings, beads or toys with easy detachable parts.
  • Squeaky toys are another potential health hazard for your pet as it might get obsessed with getting to the squeaker and swallow it.
It is always best to buy such toys for your pet which are considered safe  for your children as you can be rest assured that your pet is safe even  when  left alone  to play  with  soft toys for longer hours.
