Cats need specific diet

It is a common belief that cats and dogs can be given common food but the fact is quite different from this. Cats are quite inflexible in terms of diet; wrong diet may lead to health problems.  A cat owner must realize that cats are meat eater by nature and they derive their maximum nutrition from non-vegetarian foods.

Love your cat more by feeding these foods

Fish:

Cats and fish are both inseparable; fish is the only source of Omega-3 fatty acid, mercury and protein for cats. However, care must be taken that a cat must always be given fresh fish and not canned one. The diet must be decided based on the size and breed of the cat; it must never be overfed at any cost. Preferably boiled fish is suggested for the pet.

Eggs:

Eggs can be real good breakfast for cats and must be served only after cooking and that too without oil. A cat must never be given raw eggs as it can cause indigestion.

Broccoli:

Sometimes cats are seen chewing grass and other house plants, this may look unusual but even they need a vegetarian diet to clean their system. Now all plants may not be good for the kitty so it is suggested to feed it small portion of steamed broccoli. The vet must always be consulted before making this diet switch.

Cheese:

Cats are intolerant towards lactose, so in the event of feeding milk and milk products, they must never be overfed. Over feeding them will surely cause digestion problems and make their stomachs weak. The most important thing to remember is not to give cats such dairy products every day.

Meat:

Meat is another great source of protein and essential fat for the pet. Any form of meat will serve the purpose be it turkey, chicken or ham however care must be taken that meat must only be served as snacks, which means in small quantities.

These were some basic diet plan for cats; along with the diet the cat must be fed the right amount of the same.
